Teen Zone is a private app for the young people of RCCG Beautiful Gate Glasgow, aged 13–18. It provides Bible-reading plans, supervised discussion groups, a link to Google Classroom, attendance, and related youth-ministry features. It is provided free of charge as part of our youth ministry.
When using Teen Zone, young people agree to:
Discussions and classroom notes are supervised by our youth leaders, teachers and safeguarding staff. To keep everyone safe, designated staff may view, hide, or remove content, and may pause a young person's ability to post where necessary. Safeguarding always comes first.
Teen Zone can display a young person's own Google Classroom announcements, assignments and materials, with read-only access, if they choose to connect it. Teen Zone does not change anything in Google Classroom and does not post on the young person's behalf. Google Classroom itself is provided by Google under Google's own terms.
Young people keep ownership of what they write (such as reflection notes and discussion posts), but by posting they allow us to display and store it within Teen Zone as needed to run the app and keep the community safe. Please do not post anything you would not want church staff or your parent/carer to see.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. By using Teen Zone you also accept that policy.
We aim to keep Teen Zone available and working, but we provide it "as is" and cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change, or remove features, or pause the service, as part of running and improving the youth ministry.
We may suspend or remove a young person's access if these terms are broken, if it is needed for safeguarding, or if the young person is no longer part of our youth community. A parent or carer may also ask us to remove access at any time.
Teen Zone is provided free as part of our charitable youth work. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited, including for safeguarding responsibilities.
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts will have jurisdiction.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
